It is an Italianate style house, entirely built with imported materials and the only example of this architectural movement in Capilla del Señor. In 1926 Don Juan Gil had this house built by the local Engineer Turchetto and the Master Builders Luraschi.

It was opened on 14th of September 1927. The building is topped with a lookout tower which has the building’s name painted on tiles on each of its sides.
